I don’t think this is true at all. Just because you read some people on twitter going nuts over something doesn’t mean millions of Democrats feel the same way.

It only seems that every left leaning person is crazy because you inundate yourself with certain news sources on the daily. The reality is that many more left leaners are like blue dogs than people realize.

Cancel culture is the alt right name for the natural supply and demand of industries who have value in their public reputation. Fucking with your public image is obviously going to effect your sales when that’s pretty much all you have going for you.
You’ll note that despite the attempted ‘cancel culture’ of the right by Boycotting Nike over a football player, that nothing happened, because Nike isn’t heavily reliant on their reputation with crybaby righties. Exact same thing happened in society. Nobody on the right seems to care, but only because it didn’t work.

I see this happening a lot; with the most public display of Confirmation Bias being with Trump himself.
Fox and other conservative Media are a regular part of his daily “briefings”.

You did post that it is the Left who propagated cancel culture.
If you want to now say that it is the Left who are doing more of it now, that’s a different matter. But if you think that those who started it are no longer doing it, you are wrong. Does Kathy Griffin ring a bell? Does Trump saying certain news outlets should have their licenses pulled ring a bell? What about Trump saying a football player taking a knee should be fired?
Those who speak out the most are from the left, and they call out both sides when they do it.

I actually like posting here because I think it’s one of the more balanced boards I’ve been on for politics. I wish we had some more regular posters but on the whole it’s pretty balanced since raj and Zep got banned.

I’m open to the possibility that I notice the left being crazy more because their crazy is effecting more things I care about, and pay attention to.
EDIT: and let it be known I’m not on either side, I have voted dems in the last 3 elections (I do kinda regret not voting Romney in though, I think he would have prevented Trump and curbed the lunacy on both sides).
And the Republicans and the conservative refusal on healthcare and gun control leaves me baffled. It is stupid on so many levels and we get all these mass shootings that never ends because it is easier to get a gun than it is to get psychological help in this country

Please stop saying Republicans aren’t doing anything on health care. They have been at the forefront of saying “Obamacare is bad” for a decade. I’m sure if they ever had control of all three branches they will be ready to deliver a solution.

20 People shot dead inside a Texas walmart. I literally cannot think of another place more likely to have multiple people concealed carrying. Seems to throw a bit of a wrench into the argument that concealed carry is the solution to mass shooting.
9 Dead in Ohio despite the shooter being killed in under 60 seconds. Looks like the good guys with the gun didnt stop the bad guy with a gun.
On a separate, but obliquely related note, sure would be nice if the leader of this country out-and-out condemned the violence and violent rhetoric of the alt-right and the leading voices preaching hate that are directly inspiring some of this violence. Specifically, it would be nice if he condemned the El Paso shooter and everything that POS stands for.
I am fearful that some liberal crazy will feel the need to respond to the alt-right violence in El Paso with violence targeting an innocent Trump-supporting community.

It would be hard to condemn the leading voices preaching hate because he would have to condemn himself. Famously Trump doesn’t apologize nor think he makes mistakes.
We’ve never had a modern President with this much vitriol for fellow humans. And we’ve never had a President who is absolutely adored by the violent loonies like this one.
Also whatever happened to Presidents giving speeches after national tragedies? The guy can’t do something other than just tweet condolences?

It’s telling how the Governor is avoiding using the word “terrorism”. This is what you write after a natural disaster, not after an act of terrorism. He’s also very careful not to mention that the victims were “shot” because that may imply that it was somehow linked to the g-word and that’s a big no-no.
Keep your eye on the ball. The countries problems are poor brown people trying to get in. Also white people can’t be terrorists. Only Moo-slims.

Despite the fallout from the mass shooting in Texas, Trump then took time to call Covington after his win, too. The 31-year-old could be seen talking to Trump on the phone in the hallways of the Prudential Center with his MAGA hat while Donald Jr. and Eric stood next to him.
Its depressing that these kind of things have become the new normal, and there is no sense of urgency or hope that things will change. There was a sense of urgency about gun reform after Sandy Hook and the Pulse nighclub shootings, but that momentum was squashed by special interest and the GOP controlled govt. If the rallying cry from the right is “mental health is the solution”, WTF are they doing about increasing available mental health care? Seems like the only fucks they give about health care is dismantling Obamacare.
Just sad that it seems like the left has given up hope of change, and the right just doesnt see it as an important enough issue to warrant action.
The left doesn’t see it is a vehicle to victory. Worse still, even if they win- Then what? Doing something about it?
These are politicians we’re talking about here.
It’s very easy for Republicans and talking heads on the right to point out the dysfunctionality of the inner city. It’s the rap music! And to be fair, it’s easy for the left to ignore the dysfunctionality of inner “culture” because racism.
But when you look at the mass shootings, the opioid and heroin epidemics, obesity, the anger and general frustration we see in this country, it points to something being wrong with our society as a whole. And no politician is going to say we need to hit the reset button. I believe there are 2,000 active serial killers in the US. Why are we so good at producing crazy people?
