Good exercise to force you into an upright trunk angle and get the quads. You have to be able to drive straight up out of the whole, otherwise the bar gets in the way.
If you’re one of those people that lifts their hips first as they fire out of the bottom of the sqaut, it could be any excellent exercie to help strengthen your quads in order ot decrease that break down.
Try using wraps/straps and elevating your heels as much as an inch. I’m not using them currently, but I like them a lot and I plan to integrate them into a few of my client’s training over the next couple of weeks.
Snatch Squats and Front Squats are good supplemental exercises to strengthen the same pattern of recruitment.
I’ll give you more feedback as I experimant with them more.
