Permitting it has nothing to do with the argument. My position recognizes the reality that something like that has been determined to be horrible by humans. Again, part of the intersecting set that most humans agree upon as “evil”. Clearly the holocaust was permitted by a subset of people. The other people said fuck that and went to war.
Morals are not like gravity. They don’t inherently exist in an absolute state and only have the value assigned to them by humans. If a virus takes out humanity, no other living animal is going to abide by an absolute set of
“Morals”.
And what if humans decided it was okay? You’d have to agree it’s okay because under your worldview that’s what solidify’s things and makes it moral. Not so in my worldview.
