Ask Physiolojik Thread

That happened to me the past few days.
I usually inject 50 MG 2x a week. On Thursday I injected 60. On Monday I injected 50. My crazy libido started sometime Monday and strong Tuesday and Wednesday. We shall see how it goes today. I was thinking what was it exactly. Also had much firmer nocturnal erections . Was it the increase in free t, or was it the decrease after 60 MG injection hit its high. Who knows

I also started taking 200 MG magnesium glycinate before bed the past few days to help me sleep.
Am sure I try to duplicate this when my wife is available next time :weary:

@unreal24278 can you specify what day was the injection and when the surge in libido started

I’ve tried this and I end up getting heart papaltation when I adjust my dose. Just like this past weekend for me.

Heres the thread doc referring to

thanks for your response. my resting heart rate is indeed low, about 50-55 - it has been this way for more than 7 years for sure (I started anabolics/TRT 2 years ago, so way before that), it did not change when I started TRT.
My blood pressure is about 135/75 most of the time.
I also do have arrythmias (at least that what my blood pressure thing tells me, and I also can feel it sometimes, but never ever chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling legs…
Last year in May I had a full check-up at the cardiologist (I told him about TRT) including sonogram/echo of heart and he told me everything was perfect except the slightly enlarged LVH at 13mm. I will go back after the current blast to see if blasting is responsible for the growth or my heart ventricle or maybe it was at 13mm before I ever started TRT/AAS… As I said, I did have the low resting pulse (I am pretty athletic and have been all my life) and arrythmias sometimes way before ever touching any anabolics.

I started TRT 2 years ago, since then I’d say I was about half of that on 160mg of test-e, the other half blasting on 400-500mgs (first time 3 months, second time 6 months, now already 3 months).
I’m 29, about 5’10 and 190lbs, fairly low bodyfat (about 12%, sixpack still visible, currently bulking).

Heart palpitations manifesting as a heavy pounding sensation or actual sinus tachycardia, is the heart beat regular or do you feel yourself skipping beats. AAS do increase heart rate through various mechanisms thus you could be very sensitive to said effect.

I noticed the surge in libido about 36 hrs post shot

Last investigation it was PVC mostly. See below from a 7 day 24 hour portable heart monitor. Probably not all from the Chang in dosage. But what I felt was my heart beat pound for a few seconds.

My halter moniter found zero PVC’s or PAC’s, many times PVCs are harmless, does anything specific appear to bring them on? Have you ever had a cardiac ultrasound done? Have you previously cycled before (supra doses), any familial history of heart problems

I had a CT cardiac angiogram a few weeks ago. No calcium no plaque.

I’ve had many ekgs. You think an echocardiogram is called for? I’ve had 1 years ago.

No aas. Family history fine.

How’d the one from a year ago turn out?

My halter was 24hrs not a single abnormal beat aside from sinus tachycardia, esp when going from sitting to standing. The use or beta blockers LARGELY if not completely amoreliates the issue though.

It was years ago. Dont exactly remember.

Only 1 percent of beats were pvcs.

Sometimes I wonder if the daily cialis is the cause

Probably not.

DAILY Cialis? The stuff gives me erections non stop, can’t imagine taking it daily. I’ll be walking in the mall and I see Victoria secret (the shop), on Cialis that equates to an instant, Eiffel Tower sized erection that requires me to sit down for a few minutes

Do you have legitimate ED (not my place to ask) just curious, or is it for another condition such as an enlarged prostate. With legit ED daily Cialis can work wonders.

Have you ever thought about trying to combat the ED wirhout the additional use of pharmaceuticals (however if you need it then that’s totes fine, PDE5 inhibitors when used properly are pretty safe drugs)

Well. I stopped taking it a few months ago for about 7 days. Erections were still good not as hard and sporadic maintaining issue. Am 42. So I can probably do without them.
However, I continue to take cause it lowers my blood pressure where I do not need another blood pressure medication. Cardiologist said continue the cialis and if in the future my pressure goes up he will introduce traditional medication.

So right now it’s a win win. BTW I take 5mg daily.

And no I rarely get an Erection in the public even with cialis. Though it is more full looking. Am sure if I get stimulated in public other than visual, it’s game time.

I have a teenage son. Trust me I know what your are taking about. The Damn wind blows and it’s an instant Erection. A kissing seen will have the same reaction. I swear they stole my natural testosterone. Lol
I am telling them to get boxer briefs to keep things closer the body. Like compression shorts especially since they do sports. Lol. They get random hugs from girls at school…

@physioLojik When you are guiding someone through a blast cycle on TRT (if you indeed do that) are you looking for a total T number or are you looking to hit a free T number? What are your guidelines or targets for each? I tend to require less T cyp to get my FT numbers higher so kind of wondering what I should be shooting for. Thanks Doc.

@NH_Watts it’s really dependent on the client. I judge blasts by gains and feelings.

The response via email from you guys has been amazing! It’s so cool to be able to connect with you guys personally, especially when you have either a complicated case or other issues! I have enough time for maybe five more guys max! I’m so happy to be able to help.

This community is a gold mine of info and I love that I can share my knowledge and experience with you!

Confused about the apparently mandatory absence of HCG. Why would we want to have less LH-dependent cholesterol to pregnenolone conversion? This sounds like bad news for neurosteroids, DHEA, and so on. Genuinely curious here.

Are you still giving put your email or where can we find it?

Hi physiolojik, wondering if you could give me some guidance? I’m 6 weeks into my new TRT protocol and still having weird bouts of anxiety and depression on and off. Today for example, I’m fine, no symptoms whatsoever. Yesterday was rough for no reason and so were the 3-4 days before that. My symptoms are fatigue, insomnia/shallow sleep, depressive feelings, anxiety and trouble thinking.

My current doctor says I’m in a stable enough state that he’s ruling out TRT as the cause of these symptoms. Says he’s looking at thyroid. If you don’t mind, do these labs represent someone who’s hypo or hyper in terms of thyroid function?

Reverse t3: 20.7 Range 8-25
T3 free: 3.7 Range 2.3-4.2
T4 free: 1.77 Range .89-1.76 HIGH
TSH: .536 Range .55-4.76. LOW
Thyroid Peroxidase abs: <28.0 Range <60
Thyroglobulin abs: 23.4 Range <60

I’m very sensitive to any sort of stimulant (can’t even drink tea) and I’m wondering if thyroid meds will make matters worse for me. My doctor did recommend boosting t3 and said it could be stimulatory. Currently taking 150mcg iodine and 200mg selenium in an attempt to boost thyroid function.

Thanks!

You might consider asking your Doc to prescribe Armour thyroid. Its more complete than synthroid and has both t3 and t4.

I’ll run it by him next time I talk to him. I wish I knew enough about thyroid to have an informed conversation with him about it. Feel like I just got the surface level of TRT down, now it’s on to something new.
