Thought this would be an interesting place to post this. Some of the stats are pretty eye openining. Mainly those referring to the marraige of non jews and the parts about jews who will not be passing on their religion.

I am not sure what you mean. But a person is Jewish if his or her mother is Jewish or if they convert in an Orthodox manner (which often includes Conservative movement conversions).
He or she is no less Jewish if he or she practices some other religion or is an atheist.
The article is sad statistics coupled with the typical mismatch of nonsense trying to make readers feel better about poor life choices.

For every Jewish person who falls out of touch with their faith/culture there is a Jewish person who is aware of this phenomenon and makes it their duty to compensate for this loss. At least there is definitely an awareness and pretty substantial group fighting this assimilation of Jewish people into other cultures. The Hasidim are great at this. While I disagree with some/many of their views (They believe like 90 % of Israelis are not really Jewish) they do Israel a service by having so many children. Granted this causes a problem because how much money can you make to feed your kids when you are praying all day long. There are other orthodox groups, ones that are much more pleasant and accepting of less religious followers, who also have many children.
