Yes, I know we don’t agree on this. I’m going to stop here before this thread gets completely derailed.

Never mind I finished your post and you intend the same, so, allrighty then.

You believe in original sin, yes? Then the life isn’t innocent according to you.

My answer is yes. Perhaps not how I would word it, but I don’t think you’re going for a semantics war, so I’ll say yes.
Cool. At least you have the balls to admit it. I respect that, believe it or not.

I think it is a very dangerous, morally reprehensible way of thinking, but I respect you for at least being honest.

As far as where baby’s souls go, they go to Heaven, the Catholic Church has an explanation for that and it can be found in that link I gave you earlier, if you are interested.

Short answer: They go to heaven. Just like murdered 2 year olds, whose murder I also do not condone.
Hmm. Understand, I have no ties to being pro-choice. If ever you or anyone/thing else convince me otherwise I will switch sides and debate just as fiercely for that side. The same goes for any other issue.

I’m not convinced, mind you, but I am absolutely open to the position.

Now, if aborted children go to heaven, then abortion is a good thing, for the child that is, as it basically gets a “free-ride” into heaven. So, what’s the problem?

(note: I’m not asking because I’m lazy. I’ve looked around and I have a pretty good idea what what your answer will be, but I’d rather ask anyway before I go about tackling arguments nobody intends to make)

You don’t have time? Well go back from the beginning of this thread and read. Or try and learn something by using the search function in these forums. Or you could find sources of information on the internet. Better yet, go to an abortion clinic and meet some women as they go through an abortion. Best yet, find someone who will allow you to watch a sonogram of a fetus as they are aborted. Then please come back here and tell me the feelings the mothers has.

Next go to the maternity ward of a hospital of your choice and tell me about the different women that are leaving. You can even find a woman who didn’t want to kill the child inside of her for nine months and gave birth to a child and adoption at the end. Honestly come back and report your findings.

Something tells me you will avoid the suggestions I have for you. Please surprise me, please.

. . . . It’s batently clear that you are arguing from emotion, not logic, and that even if I showed you to be completely wrong you would not change your mind.
Looks like I was a little off. Seems like the question is a bit more open than I had assumed. Here’s a short discussion.

I would say, regardless though, that even if it gave them a straight ticket to Heaven, it is still terribly unfair to steal their life from them without give them the chance to experience it and make the choice for themselves. We’re here before we go there for a reason. Those kids don’t get to participate in that journey because they were an inconvenience to someone.
