I’m on Paleo and my strength has gone up my mass has even increased. Botttom line I feel is that you’ll live longer, never have inflammatory issues, and perform better with everything. At a glance it’s a low carb high fat and high protein lifestyle. Where body runs using the metabolic system Ketosis instead of glycogen in our liver.
So Paleo just means unprocessed foods? I was under the impression from those crazy cross-fitters that it meant to only eat nuts, berries, tree bark, grass, fish caught from the river with your teeth, etc.

sadly the diet has some good merits, but it attracts the kool-aid drink Crossfit people.
Here’s an idea, stop eating processed garbage (not saying eliminate forever, I love pizza, cookies, beer, etc). Why does it have to be a special “diet” term.
Is it just not cool to say eat meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, etc?
Because grains have been ingrained (see, even in our language) into our culture, and it simply becomes easier to say “I’m on an “x” diet”, than explain why you’re one of them crazies who won’t eat bread or pasta.
I love the Paleo Diet. I don’t use it 100% of the time, but when I do, results are great for cutting.

I’m doing it. Well, paleo plus dairy.
I’m told that if you do this you can get by on far fewer calories (I know guys who eat 1000 calories a day a lot of the time) without being hungry or tired. So far I haven’t tried that – I’m a little bit of a pussy and I like eating more than that – but I’m wondering if anybody else has tried serious caloric restriction. Is it worth trying?
…if you’re trying to lose weight.
Is that a trick question?

It means grass-fed meats (preferably) btw corn and potatoes should not be part of the animals diet, corn is also a grain. If you can’t get grass-fed then just cut the visible fat off the cut of meat. It means seasonal only fruits and vegetables and nuts and seeds if you feel like it. A generic diet consists of 35-40% protein, 35-40% fat and 18-25% carbohydrates. I suggest reads such as the Paleo Solutoin by Robb Wolf, The Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain, The Paleo Diet for Athletes by Loren Cordain, and Evolutionary Fitness by Arthur De Vany, also the Anabolic Solution by Mauro Di-Pasquelle for a complete explanation and application information.
