Some or even most may be absorbed, but some (or even most, depending) will not be absorbed, because the other aminos/peptides in the shake will be occupying the transport units that translocate amnos accros the gut wall.

Interesting. A few more questions if you don’t mind:
1.Under what conditions will the glutamine in a protein shake fail to be adequately absorbed?
2.What kind of dosages do you advise for glutamine? I’ve found people recommending anything from 5g grams to 80 grams a day.
3.Do you think glutamine can compensate for BCAAs? I’ve heard that if you are taking glutamine then you may not need to supplement with BCAAs.
