Child suspended from school for the rest of the year for playing with a toy gun in his own yard.

This article does not state it, but it is my understanding the police actually handcuffed the kid.
It does state that he was shooting at people:

In a letter obtained by WAVY.com, school principal Matthew Delaney found that the “children were firing pellet guns at each other, and at people near the bus stop.” Delaney states in the letter that one child “was only 10 feet from the bus stop, and ran from the shots being fired, but was still hit.”
You never played with toy guns? Boys will be boys. That gun was not designed for lethality. I guess you to have been sissified.
So it’s OK for some random kid to shoot your kid while he or she is waiting for the bus as long as it’s with a gun that won’t kill?
Yep Zecarlo has been sissified.
I think the sissies are the excuse makers and enablers who don’t believe in accountability. You do the wrong thing and there are consequences. Nothing manly rarely follows a sentence that begins with the word “but.”

Did the big bad wolves of your childhood shoot you with a toy gun too?
The school has its rules and policies. This kid violated them. I’m not saying the policy is right or wrong just that it exists and he suffered the consequences.

What would you do if some kid was shooting you while you were waiting for a bus or something? Just laugh and/or ignore it? Or would you feel like grabbing the toy from the annoying little brat and smashing it on the sidewalk? Maybe the penalty is too harsh but there should be some price to pay for being a pain in the ass.

That isn’t a sentence.

He said “war is not the answer”. But it depends on the question.

She called him a deadbeat and a loser, but he had a successful career and a pillar in his children’s life.

They cut him from his high school basketball team, but he went on to win 6 championships in the NBA.

People said the 4 min mile was impossible, but through determination and human will it has been beaten.

I think you are a smart poster, but this attempt at hyperbole is pretty shitty.

Apparently the school’s policy applies. I assume because the actions involved a bus stop. They may have been on private property but they shot at people at the stop.

How many of those examples of the word but are of it being used at the beginning of a sentence?

lol, really?

Straws, keep grasping at them.

I don’t support anyone. I merely pointed out that the kid wasn’t punished for simply playing in his yard. Whether the policy is right or wrong it exists and his parent(s) should have been aware.

That takes on a whole new meaning given your recent inquiries about entrapment.

This might be, the first time in my entire life, someone needing to tell a Sicilian to “man up.”

And I know his dad beat his ass for doing a shitload less than this story.

Manly.

But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, This was their finest hour. – Winston Churchill

Indeed. I’m looking out for you, bud.

Slide off that burro you ride around here and parley like a man once in awhile. It’s OK to say, “What a stupid freakin decision by that school to pounce on a young boy who’s just being a young boy right smack dab in his own yard.”

Seriously, it’s OK to loosen up your corset and let something sensible ooze out. Dude.
Burro? I don’t know what that even means. Anyway, did I say it wasn’t a stupid decision? I simply stated what they based the decision on which was conveniently left out by a poster. You overreacted like a woman and read into what I posted more than what I posted again, just like a woman.

not going to comment on the sissy tangent. or the “but” tangent. or the manly tangent…

but i will say this:
just where in the blue hell did the school get the authority to govern what goes on on my property? that is 10 pounds of horse shit in a 5 pound bag.

Show me a federal, state, city, county, township clause in ANY state that grants the SCHOOL rights to govern me on my property.

I beg you. i will paypal you $25 if you can.

If not, this goes back to being complete and utter bullshit on the schools part.

Although it is no big surprise, someone got a taste of power and wanted more, whether it is legal or not.

as far as the other kid being “hit” by the ‘pellet’ or whatever they called the ammo- was the kid hurt? did it shoot his eye out? did he have an allergic reaction to the gluten in the pellet? did it stop the kids pacemaker? did it leave a bruise or break the skin? have you ever been shot by a kids pellet gun made in the last decade? i could shoot you point blank in the eye and it wouldnt hurt. i know because i have been shot point blank in the eye with one, and it did nothing but sting for a split second. no retina damage, no lens damage, didnt black my eye. nothing. this is pathetic.

if the kid wasnt hurt, this is a situation that deserves a reprimand by the kids parents. Dont shoot your pellet guns at other people or we will take them away for good. Period. End of story.
