Yeah, right, Christie Hefner. You betcha.[/quote]
Hey…I knew Christie Hefner! Of course, then she was known (somehow) as Christie Gunn and she was going out with some jerk from South Boston. She lost him fast when Daddy hired her, she took Daddy’s name and poof! VP of Playboy within 4 years.
Now that is what we call meritocracy.
I would say she had crazy ideas then, 38 years ago, but frankly, I can’t remember her having any ideas at all. It was the '70’s, and there was nitrous oxide, after all.
Not to mention amyl and butyl nitrate.
This is pretty interesting:

California to “redefine” doctors to compensate for Obamacare shortages.
State lawmakers are working on legislation that would permit physician assistants and nurse practitioners to set up independent practices. Pharmacists and optometrists could now act as ?primary care? providers.
These role changes will be common in the age of Obamacare, when even teachers will be ?trained? to diagnose mental health and behavioral health problems in ?school-based healthcare centers.?

Even real primary care doctors are becoming less helpful these days. For non-common problems you need a specialist. Webmd is looking better than ever.

Every time I’ve been to the doctor in the past few years, I’ve basically discerned exactly what ailed me with Webmd beforehand. I show up and say, “yeah, I think I have this,” and he writes me a prescription.
But webmd can also lead to some debilitating hypochondria.

True, most symptoms lead to things you’ve never heard before, so you ignore them leaving only the STDs or cancer.

Yes indeed, cancer and AIDS are almost always proffered (because they cause almost every symptom an adult can have).

I thought the same thing.
In 1994, I thought I showed signs of a hernia, I thought I nailed it to the T.
Turns out I had IBS, so glad the pharmacist diagnosed me.

I am proud to call Ted Cruz my Senator. I voted for him in the first primary, the run off, and the election.
