Anavar as a Finisher if Over 15% BF?

@mnben87 When on TRT my SHBG is within normal range, but if it was a big drop in SHBG due to VAR maybe you are onto something. Here is my latest results before my blast, my doc reduced my test 10% after this set of bloods.

Your SHBG is decent. AAS generally will cause a dose dependent drop in SHBG. I am not sure on this point, but I believe Var and Mast are known to drop SHBG a bit more than other AAS. If you have the same total test, and drop SHBG then free test is very likely going up. More free test, more E2.

You could test this through blood work, but I would give this explanation a plausible rating. Not this is what it is, but this could be what it is (my best guess).

I know many of you mention bad back pumps with Anavar.

Recently I have been feeling super stiff with a lower back ache. I am not sure if this just my body needing a deload or of this is the ā€œpumpā€ people are referring to. Can anyone advise, perhaps @studhammer?

Yep, this is typical, at least for me, while on anavar. What dose did you end up at?

If its bad, take a few days off from it and taper back up.

I am on 50mg daily and have been tempted to go up to 70. I lab tested my car it is overdosed. The 2 pills tested showed 11mg and 14mg when they should have been 10mg each.

I am 1 month in with the Var and 11 weeks into my blast. I am currently on a deload as I was feeling so beat up.

Strained Left trap/neck
Lower back ache and tightness
Tight quads
Aching left shoulder when flat benching

I am have 3 days left of my deload and am considering extending my blast to 16 weeks, and sticking with the Var another 2 to 3 weeks. I am tempted to go up to 70mg as I saw big strength gains when the 50mg kicked in.

I can’t get bloods done where I am so on the fence.

Apart from the above I feel good. I have also been sleeping loads while on the blast which is unusual for me. 8 hours a night and 1 hour nap a day lol.

I can tell you that after a full month on 100/day I started getting really bad pain in my legs and glutes to the point it interrupted my sleep. I stopped for a week and tapered back up to finish my 6 week blast. The next time I ran Var, it kept it at 50/day. Had some back tightness but nothing too bad.

If I were you, I’d stop for a week, wait for the pain to subside and taper back up to 50 and hang there. Taurine can help some people with cramps and pain from Var but it didnt do much for me. You might try that.

I am exactly 4 weeks in with the Var and in the final week of my planned 12 week blast (sucks to spend the last 8 days of it on a deload :man_facepalming:t2:. My body was smashed.

It took 2.5 weeks for the Var to kick in last time.

If I was extending my blast 4 weeks, do you think it makes sense to come off the Var for 1 week then jump back on at 50mg? How would you taper?

It seems like I will only be feeling the benefit of the Var for roughly 1 week (if it takes 2.5 weeks to kick in again), but perhaps I am missing something. Advice pls bud?

I am also taking NAC and Coq-10, anything else worth taking to minimise risks?

I think its working but the build up is what you are feeling? Do you not feel harder pumps and longer lasting pumps? If not, you may have winstrol instead of var.

Have you tried taurine? For some it reduces cramping

Yes I am currently taking 1g of taurine daily with the anavar. Not sure if that is enough or not.

Regarding pumps, I haven’t had crazy pumps but that so maybe because Inahge been in low rep ranges (5 or less on my main lifts). It is genuine Var as I had it lab tested.

One thing I noticed is that when I take my Var at 30mg, 30min before I train, it has a mild preworkout effect. Increased energy and motivation to train. The biggest strength gain I saw during the entire blast was week 9 when I was 2 weeks into the Var. My strength shot up massively.

Not sure if you can OD on taurine or not, but you might increase it and get it built up before the var starts impacting you.
