Doesn’t this statement support the quote? This behavior existed before the invention of social media, but social media has more widely exposed it?
Not that anyone really cares, but I’m pretty sure I know what happened re: therajraj
Years ago, there was a small handful of us “regulars” in the NBA and MLB threads. In those contexts, he was a regular dude who backed his Toronto sports teams.
Anyway, at some point during the journey of self-improvement that this site certainly facilitates, he found the “manosphere” and “red pill” content that was surging/cresting at the time. And like any context really, there were kernels of (practical) knowledge to be found there (so long as one could parse thru the poorly-disguised misogyny and, in some cases, the fully-undisguised white supremacy)
One of the best – and I do mean that objectively – resources for this dating wisdom-type content was Chateau Heartiste, and yet towards the end (ie. when the original blogger had long since moved on, per the rumors) it was almost entirely about white supremacy.
Anyway, per Occam’s Razor, I’d wager that Raj simply adopted more and more of the worldview(s) espoused in these sites… and was more than happy to post in here about it, until he couldn’t.
edit - hmmm so that blog’s not gone after all, only that wordpress no longer hosts it
Nice insight. To be honest I can’t even remember what ended up getting him banned from here. It wasn’t the racist posts because those had gone on for a long long time. I think he ended up doing something that pissed Chris off if I remember right.
I think it was insulting people’s family members (wife/kids) that continued after warnings.
Could be right. Anger gets built up when you’ve never been laid. And when you hate your own skin color. Still weird ass shit. An Indian white supremacist.
