where is Dr nichols located. i was checking around + several docs declined, just glad to find one locally. i am 71 + just wanting to keep active + healthy + i use minimal test + quite a few nutritionals. as for nutrition i found some good info on KenDBerryMD you tubes. i am not into hardcore keto but wanting to keep body fat down to minimise its bad hormonal + general health issues
I started with a clinic, Menās Restoration Health or Restoration Menās Health, and it was really good to start with. Ran blood tests every six weeks, monitored E2 and the rest of it, but I had to go in every week for my shot.
Then I asked about Hcg and they put me on it but let me inject myself - and I started seeing more people on the board self injecting, so I figured why not me?
I asked my GP and he said sure, he would try it, but didnāt think my insurance would cover self injection - turns out they did, so I have been self injecting for a few years. It saves me the co-pay, the hassle of going once a week, and gives me the freedom to adjust my protocol - I like every five days, but Iām weird.
The nice thing about it is that insurance covers it. I pay $5 copay for a 10ml vial of Test C at 200mg/ml. I see my GP once every twelve weeks for blood tests, so $80 per year in copays and $20 for test - about $100 per year for everything except needles, syringes and swabs.
I donāt need an AI, so total cost, $120.
Much cheaper than Defy.
Going rogue is certainly an option, and since I have done a cycle, I can tell you a 10ml vial of test cyp costs about $55 (or less) plus shipping, dosed at 250mg/ml, but no copay.
I happen to be blessed that I donāt need an AI or anything else, so if I had to go rogue, it would be 4 vials a year, about $220, plus needles and shit.
Food for thought.
Not sure if you got this sorted out but if you are still having problems I can introduce you to my doc. I think itās $150/month (includes test & AI which I do not take but have them) and you get your testosterone in the mail. If you are looking for lots of oversight like defy then this isnāt for you. They have never asked me for labs though they are included in the $150 if I ever want them. My email is on my profile if needed. There are a ton of options out there.
Brother, if youāre in Tennessee you have to go see Dr Keith Nichols. I drove 4 hours for my intitial consult, (well worth it and now he does telemedicine) he is world class on the cutting edge of TRT.
Itās not about money man. Who cares. When shit hits the fan you are coming back here asking for help like the 75% of guys who have docs that cannot figure out a good protocol.
Money was only one aspect of my post. I also discussed the hassle of going in for weekly injections, insurance coverage, the freedom of self injecting.
It seems that everyone is here, even you, whether they are rogue or spending lots of money, so that argument doesnāt really hold water for me.
Have a nice day.
I donāt need help dialing in. I feel great. There are dozens of others who are here to help others. And then the majority canāt seem to find a solution to save their miserable life.
This TRT shit is very easy for some bit for most it is not.
