I have to say though that the OP once wrote that I was begging fo attention when I made a thread about leaving the military and not posting for a while. He claimed it was a cry for attention.
I do have to ask now what this is if he really thought that at the time.

It was actually a pretty deep post at the time about trying to decide if getting out was the best thing to do. Back then, GAL wasn’t filled with crap like it is now.
Either way, it seems some here are very selective with all of the labels of insecurity and attention seeking.
I don’t personally see a problem with this thread…just noting the hypocrisy.

Sorry, bro, but aside from the fact that both were posts about departing the site, the message and tone are hardly the same. Even assuming that people can’t change their perspective on things after SIX YEARS, thunderbolt’s post was cordial, brief, explanatory and he even took time to wish everyone well and remark about the good time he had here. Yours was an angst-filled, gratuitously self-indulgent caricature of a menstruating teenager’s diary.
You’d have to be out of your mind to read both posts and conclude that tb was a hypocrite. But classy (and totally not obsessive) job at attempting to make sure the door slammed him on the ass on his way out.

When I joined this site, there were tons of interesting discussions going on and the section had so much traffic, newly created threads wouldn’t stay on the first page for long.
Now, even when a good discussion takes place, it usually gets derailed by people posting funny gifs and pictures of cats.
