I think your last statement is more an adhoc political strategy, than actual fact. There is no way to prove it after all. Really how do you find out? Take a census before and after? “Sir are you now or do you have aspirations towards being a terrorist?”

There most certainly is a way to prove it. Just take a look at the increase in number of attacks (failed and successful).

Of course, had you been in an Arab country, you wouldn’t be asking that question. The radicalization of the populace post-2003 is so evident that even a slow kid could clearly see it.
Your an idiot and currently residing on my ignore list. I know your opinions well and you don’t have to express them to me. No matter what he topic I know your opinion on it. You are very predicatle and was enjoying the hiatus from your commentary that I was experiencing.

I wish the hiatus to continue, for you “arguments” lead no where but to a pissing contest which really doesn’t do me any good. My ass wrinkles have more sense than you.
In the end I wasn’t talking to you, so booger-off.

Sounds like an Arab problem. Why don’t they fix it?

Soldiers don’t make policy asshole. It’s not thier fault they are there so don’t blame them.

You’re wrong, sir.

Soldiers DO make policy.

Like no legislator possibly could.

Every law is enforced by violence. Every organized act of violence (i.e. war) requires willing participants.
One thing is absolutely clear: Our military men have been fighting, and will continue to do so, but they aren’t protecting anybody in this country.
most hilarious post ever. thanks!

America…damned if it does…damned if it doesn’t…hmm…until other countries come up with a better solution to deal with their own backyard…maybe they should just shut the fuck up.

No wonder Iraq is such a mess if your “backyard” stretches across the ocean to the middle east.
A simple: “We royally fucked up the place and we’re sorry!” would suffice.
But rejoice! Soon, you can show us how to do things really really right. (Iran!Iran! Nudge!Nudge! Wink!Wink!)

Something which I found always disturbing: How come all those weapon geeks who have tattooed the second amendment on their biceps and are quick to point out how ridiculous, unfair and ill-minded procedure a assault rifle ban would be, are the soldiers bestest friend?

We keep hearing: The right to overthrow a bad government…most basic right…
Alas, then a standing army would be your greatest natural enemy, wouldn’t it?

Patti,

This is a forum and your attempt to obfuscate things is the most pathetic I’ve seen to date. I reserve the right to point out falsehoods when I see them. You refuted (albeit with no argument whatsoever) the fact that the number of potential terrorists increased post-GWII. I, in turn, challenged that.

P.S: Do some squats once in a while to shape up that wrinkly ass of yours.

They’re working on it. Don’t expect an overnight fix though.

Here’s a clue: When in doubt, don’t!

I never heard of a country being hated because it used diplomatic channels as opposed to brute force.

Diplomatic channels only slow the inevitable. Also,I don’t agree with the way our government is handling the war on terror…but somebody should be doing something about it. Is there a diplomatic solution to the war on terror??

Orion, where you aware of the fact that Laila Al-Arian’s family has terrorist connections, which she half-ass addressed in a weak piece found here. My Father, 9/11 Scapegoat | HuffPost Latest News

When I return to my office on Monday I will provide you with more links to illustrate why she wrote an article like this. With it, you will see that there is clear and convincing evidence she obviously had her own agenda in writing this- to make the troops look bad.

I personally know many of the people she interviewed in this piece (did you actually read all 20 pages of it?) many of which told me their statements were spun into what she wanted to present.

Yes, bad things happen in bad places, but you can’t simply blame the men and women who are there…

expect more later.

Yes, I read all twenty pages of it.

She also might have an agenda, like everyone going to such great lenghts to have something published.

I do not think she made the troops look bad.

I do think some Americans expect too much from their troops:

These aren`t some demi-gods that descended from the heavens to spread liberty, they are 20 year old kids with their fair share of cowards, assholes and idiots with heavy weaponry and the power over life and death.

Some policies described like rolling over civilians rather than stopping are well documented, maybe they even save lifes in the long run, they hardly win hards and minds, they create the problems they are supposed to fight though.

I do not “make the military look bad” if I concede that a military has its uses but the objectives it can achieve are limited and do not include nation building.

I also do not “make the military look bad” if I say that the majority of the military in Iraq consists of young, inmature men that never wanted to be there in the first place so stupid shit is bound to happen.

orion,

I wasn’t saying you were trying to make the military look bad. I just wanted some clarification as to why you just pasted a link with no explanation.
