Well, I played ball about 5 days a week in Camden back then. My best friend lives there now. I can tell you there is no comparison between 87 Camden and now. 87 Camden was the beginning of the crack era. It was still a dangerous place then, but nothing compared to now. The teenagers now are the grandchildren of that era. Heroin is much worse, there are more drunks/winos than ever and crack is still strong. But heroin has really fucked that city up.
