40 Y/O Womans Jrny on Steroids

One more quick question! Should I take a suplement for my liver?[/quote]

This is optional. On the low dose you are using, and as long as you take ‘breaks’ every six weeks, for a few weeks time, you shouldn’t have any liver issues.

If a woman taking steriods is going to experience male side effects (voice or looks) does this usually happen at the beginning of taking steriods or with long term use?

It is dose dependent. You could get virulization on the first cycle if your dose is too high.

10mg/day seems to be pretty safe.

Thanks for the response rainjack.

Since several people have mentioned the dose is low, I was wondering if it is high enough to get results (increase muscle mass or strength).

My strength went up in about two days. I was only able to do 30 push-ups and very slow. Within one week on the vitamins I could do 50 rapid push-ups with only small breaks.
The anger is stil a problem though. I have to channel that in the gym or I go for a drive on my motorcycle.

Thank you!

With her results it seems as if it is working, and very well I might add.

About the biceps question, add in some chin ups as well. They work great for the biceps. If you can’t (somehow I believe you can) do them independently most gyms have an assist pull up bar.

Also, can I pay you to come into my gym and knock out 50 push ups infront of my female clients? I would love that. =)

I will coment, that in women you don’t need to have the dose as high as in men, as even if total AAS levels in a women approach that of a man with lower than average levels of natuaral T, it is still a marked improvement, that’s still a big gain in muscle.

Obviously though the female bb who juice, use it on levels almost on par with male bodybuilders.

Great job on the pushups and squats. Thanks for posting your experience.

I did a search on Anavar and found it is used in women and children a lot and it has no effect on a man’s natural production. You do have to worry about liver toxicity because of the alkaline but I couldn’t find anything on improving joint pain/health. Is that a known side effect?

I am on my way!

I don’t know if it will help,BUT recently somebody posted a med site that reported a research about ‘Anavar’ improving cartilage and joint health. Its somewhere in my stack of “read later” parers.
Phileaux

If you come across it I’d love to know where to get it. Thank you.

I believe that six weeks on with at least two off is the way to go.

I went through my first six weeks cycle. I stopped taking the vitmains 2 days ago and I am already back in pain. It is amazing how the vitamins take my pain away. My question is can I take 10 mg of anavar daily wihtout stopping and it is safe? If anyone knows please tell me.

Have you tried backing off to 5mg/day and seeing if your pain is relieved? I would think that finding the lowest effective dose possible would allow you to stay on longer than just six weeks at 10mg.

Somehow I just don’t see the sense of using aas as pain relievers…There are plenty of products out there to use along with aas to repair cartilege and tendon damage…Have you tried MSM, unflavored gelatin (animal collagen), Glucosamene, etc. ?

You need to take at least 3 weeks off from time to time to ensure your liver has a chance to repair.

Also staying on, but getting regular blood work every six weeks or so may be an idea.

Thanks for all your post. I am in the process of trying to find a doctor that I can be honest with about the var. All of your suggestions are good. It has been 4 days now off and I went to the gym yesterday and was worried my strengh would go done but it did not. I felt as strong as ever. I am now reading the bodybuilder book that Arond put out many years ago, it is fabulous.

The reasearch on anavar I have done says it was used in the past for women with ost and other bone diseases. I have taken all kinds of pain relief, fosamax, and been an avid weight lifter for a year and the anavar not only builds strength but it takes the soraness and neck pain away.
