30, Low Free T, Should I Start?

You’re not dialed in after only a week, you are ignoring all advice. It takes weeks for your body to feel changes in protocols, your body hasn’t even felt anything you’ve done in the last week.

HCG has a short half life (2-3 days) and taking it once weekly is wrong. I see a lot of guys quit TRT do to being impatient.

14 weeks in update:

I think I’ve crashed a bit, the peak of feeling good has passed, and I’m back to my depressed, struggling self.

Physically, I am definitely stronger. My body composition looks more muscular my muscles are harder, and certain activities for example a difficult hike uphill I find myself able to keep up with my friends and persist for much longer without wanting to quit right away.

Mentally, I am pretty much back to square one. Not suicidal depressed, and streaks of good days/moments here and there, but more often than not, feeling like - shit my life sucks because I feel like crap all the time. One caveat, I do feel 10-20% more resilient to my state of mind. The way I feel mentally is the same, but I am a bit more capable to just act in spite of it and do the things I need to do.

Libido has gone soft. 5 out of 10. I can get erections, have orgasms, and have sexual desires, but they are all pretty meh. They are more consistent, but lower quality than pre-TRT.

My most recent lab results came in high. Free T, total T, LDL, and HDL cholesterol were all out of range. This was on 34mg T-cyp/EOD + 240 UI hcg/EOD. I have been feeling the effects of the cholesterol I believe - my cardio seems worse, I often feel my heart beating strangely as if it is having some difficulty. My SHGB has also dropped dramatically which may have something to do with my T going so high.

I’ve dropped my dose to 24mg T-cyp/EOD + 200 UI hcg/EOD and will see how that affects my next labs and mental state.

Thanks for listening

Labs are incomplete, I suspect low thyroid function if TSH has anything to say about it. TSH is thyroid stimulating hormone, the end result is what? No fT3, fT4, rT3 tested, fT3 is what free T is to Total T and no testing. Estrogen looks fine and T is a little high, most guys have problems in the ranges.

You can quickly check thyroid status by checking oral body temperatures per thyroid sticky.

SHBG dropped, which means Free T went up, excellent.
