TSH looks OK, but feeling cold so easily indicates an issue. So does fat gain. But staying locked up at home is a strong fat gain behaviour.
Starvation diets can be hormone harmful.
Low testosterone levels make many guys get into some social avoidance which could be making things worse.
Need more info re diet. What do you eat? What do not not eat? Do you eat green veges other than lettuces?
You can do more thyroid labs, but doc probably will not, and results can be normal while problems exist. This happens because the thyroid lab ranges are stupid.
You can eval overall thyroid function via oral body temperatures. See below. This is important.
Low thyroid function has been seen to be associated with panic attacks with some young guys here which resolved by addressing iodine deficiencies.
Supplements:
- 5000iu Vit-D3 per day, find tiny oil based capsules and take 25,000 first five days. Take with an meal with some oils/fats while avoiding meals with high fiber such as oat meal.
- High potency B-complex multi-vit with trace elements including 150mcg iodine plus 200mcg selenium.
- Natural source vitamin E.
- Vitamin K - irregular heart beat
- Magnesium - irregular heart beat and muscle tone, nerve/brain function, see this site’s Biotest store product “ZMA” for an ingredient reference.
- Fish oil
Do not use a multi-vit that does not have those amounts of iodine and selenium.
What medical issues?
Other meds?
Hair loss meds ever?
Leg/foot cramps or ability to tense and lockup a muscle group really suggests a magnesium deficiency.

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.
The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.
