0.5mg Anastrozole on sunday.
blood work is posts up also a post about what is going on.
You need to try and do without ai. Keep lowering dose as long as free t and total t are above mid range and you feel good.
You can first drop ai and see where e2 lands after a month.
If you drop ai, you will get symptoms while your body finds the level it will settle at. You need to wait them out.
Sounds good.
If the ratio to T and E2 is off, wouldn’t that cause anxiety and aggression?
Possibly. I see you were running over range free t with 200mg. That can cause mental sides to. Did you ever try less testosterone? I would go down to 150 for now. You may need to go down more.
With trt more is not better
No I never tried less, because my doctor said it wasn’t the testosterone that was causing my problems. I told him and his coworker (who I see if one is not available, both doctors) that I was experiencing anxiety, depression, aggression, ED. Exactly like I outlined in my above post, violent thoughts (extremely vivid violent thoughts) and serious anxiety (hard to breathe, body very fidgety, mind racing at like 1000mph).
So would you recommend to go without AI first, or drop testosterone first?
Yeah my symptoms mirror exactly like @jpt365 and @anon10035199.
Since I restarted TRT, Sunday 5/5/19 was my 7th injection. On 5/7/19 I had my first anxiety attack and violent thoughts. I just find it funny, now that I am at week 4 (since T is now leveled per say I guess) that symptoms are starting to show. Only thing that hasn’t presented itself is the depressive thoughts. I never experienced any lack of sleep.
alphagunner nailed it with the amped feeling, that is exactly how I feel majority of the day. It doesn’t take very much for me to go from 0 - 100 and ripping someones head off and imagining myself killing them.
Don’t worry about that. Remove ai and trust the body will create its best ratio.
Usually e2 symptoms dissipate after some
Time. I’ve noticed that when we first start trt e2 is way more prounounced. A small increase is amplified. After several months it’s not as bad.
So give yourself a T dose that keeps e2 at a good level and sit there for a few months. Obviously don’t sit at such a low level that you don’t feel good. If you are on daily it will help a ton as well. Jsut give yourself a good 6-8 weeks give or take before making a decision.
Obviously if it’s unbearable let us know.
Most guys need to run 20+ free t. Some need 30+… some are ok at 15 or 18. you will find your level when you feel good and don’t need an ai ![]()
Try daily if switching off ai. Or EOD. Otherwise getting off Ai might not be easy.
Or he can lower dose to 150 and stay at 2x a week.
Yah he could, but he might find after a few weeks he needs to change to eod or daily to keep e2 low, but yeah small changes.
I personally think guys should start at 50 mg 2x a week. I know we are all different. But that’s a good starting dose and some stay on that. I think us guys get a thrill from injecting more. I know I did.
But op started at 200. So now needs to work down which I think is worse then working up
Thanks for the replies @charlie12 and @enackers.
So, what should be the 1st step?
Do I stop AI and lower test to 150 / week?
Or do I drop AI OR lower test?
Lower the test first. The anxiety is hitting you at peak level 2 days after injection. That’s quicker than dropping the AI. I am not suggesting that you keep that AI, only that it will probably be more informative to lower the test first and see what happens 2 days later.
That makes sense, thank you for the reply. My vials are 200mg, should I do 0.25 cc (50mg) or would dropping it that low cause problems?
If I do 50mg twice weekly and don’t notice any side effects. Should I stay at that dose for 4 weeks then adjust up?
Anxiety when I began TRT again was terrible. My body didn’t like going from 0-60 like I did. Testosterone has a stimulatory effect and your body doesn’t know what to do with the jet fuel you just put in it. I was having a lot of the symptoms you did and had some of the aggressive episodes you describe (mine would only last a day or two though). The depressive symptoms for me came later, possibly because I dropped my dosage too low.
It’s tough to say what you’ll experience dropping the dose, I usually didn’t feel negative symptoms from dose adjustments until the 5th week. Whatever you decide definitely stick with it for 6 weeks, it can be awful but you’ll have a good idea of what works what doesn’t that way.
I’d try the 50mg twice a week and see if it works out for you. 100mg a week is pretty standard and should have you feeling pretty good, depending on your SHBG of course.
Keep us updated with how you’re feeling.
I appreciate the response man, thank you.
So since I am going into my 5th week, I’ll do 0.25 cc (50mg) on Sunday and Wednesday.
I guess the big question is, do I drop the AI this week or no? I know everyone is saying small changes, I just don’t want to crash my e2.
The AI is a tough one, where was your E2 the last time you checked? .5mg seems excessive with 100mg of test. I don’t have personal experience with AI’s though, only what I’ve picked up from these boards. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
If you are going from 200 to 100 I think no ai
