I agree, at least at the national level. I don’t think individuals should be paying any national tax.

Yep. Local taxes make sense since they fund local things like police, library, education etc…and I have much more direct control through local voting over how that money is used.
I have no control over money spent at the national level since almost all politicians use the budget for their own self interests.

States should pay national taxes—it’s the cost of membership. If the state doesn’t want to pay? It doesn’t get to be a member. Simplify taxation and decrease conflict at the same time.
There should ONLY be a consumption tax from the feds.
That would literally solve everything, including the super wealthy borrowing from their assets as “debt” and using it to skirt income tax.

The Idiot that is Bragg is going to indict Trump for paying off Stormy Daniels. Politics has officially jumped the shark.
Imho, Trump’s #s and popularity will skyrocket with his fans. Ultimately, after the initial hoopla, it will hurt his chances with average folk. His rivals just have to bide their time, and play their cards right. And any non-Trump Republican candidate will easily defeat Biden/Harris.

This arrest should speak to the country about very bad business on the left. It is, as poorly as it’s phrased, a witch hunt.

What specifically are you referring too here? There are so many issues right now it’s hard to keep track of.
Also, for those that didn’t see - Tennessee is passing a bill that makes it legal any person to refuse to sign a marriage certificate for essentially any reason (interfaith, interracial, LGBT, etc…) I don’t think it will stand up to a challenge, but who knows with this SCOTUS.
Basically, if you disagree with someone you don’t have to issue a marriage certificate…
My favorite quote in this bill “the public welfare requiring it”. If by “public” the TN house and senate mean only people that agree with them…it would be funny if not tragic.
This federal election cycle hasn’t even started and it’s already bonkers.
