Because their value as consumers is viewed as more important than any money they would pay in federal income tax.
That sums it up. Two of their most used weapons are emotional blackmail and gaslighting. I actually refer to the current day as The Age of Emotional Blackmail, as it is used everywhere from online forums to news and entertainment media to the schools and to the dinner table.
I’m constantly being exhorted to feel sorry for someone or some group every few days or weeks when I have my own obligations and responsibilities to tend to.

No doubt. That and they are usually doing the terrible jobs nobody wants to do I assume. Although those are rapidly being replaced by automation.

The debt owed by the public sector is. After seeing who wrote this, Stephen Moore of the Heritage Foundation, it all made sense. This guy is awful.
