I reckon the Eagle will want to keep Foles especially if there are concerns Wentz’s injury could create longer term issues. However I think they might (should) be willing to trade Foles if theres an offer and he really wants to go, given what he did this post season.
They’ll ruin him. Cleveland is the place QBs go to die…
mmmhmmmm…
Been saying this for years, Collinsworth is hot garbage.
My cousin shouts during the game: “Chris take Tom’s dick out of your mouth long enough to call the damn game.”
I can’t stand Collinsworth, he is by far the worst NFL commentator right now. He always seems to do Ravens Steelers games I hate it.
At least Gruden is gone. I really didn’t like him.
My grandpa would mute the games and listen to Myron Cope call them on the radio. He was awesome.
I though Gruden was alright.
I usually do this and listen to music while watching the games. Much much more enjoyable.
What’s the deal with this craziness?
He did the same thing to the team that teams across the league do every single year to dozens of players. But somehow when a player or coach does it to the organization, and not the other way around, he’s the bad guy. I love this. They didn’t have a contract, he had every right to back out. Player’s get cut or traded at the 11th hour before the season all the time. They have families that have moved to a new city, kids enrolled in school in August, and then a team can say ‘see ya’ at any time. And those players are straight up screwed. Indy’s not screwed, they just need to hire someone else. Poor Jim Irsay, amirite? lol
As far as why, my guess is one of the following: he’s not willing to bet on Luck’s health. Which is a truly legit concern. or, he was made a promise by the patriots for the future. That would be reason enough to stay in NE for a few more years. Indy’s not a well run team. Their team has been really poorly constructed for essentially 2 decades, they’ve just been fortunate enough to land a couple great QB’s with top picks. I don’t believe that coaching job is very good at all in the potential absence of Luck.
Ya, it’s just so weird, though.
I was half listening to some show on NFL network where the host was saying how terrible following Belichick would be. I kind of agree with him. I’m not sure I’d want that job post-Brady/Belichick.
I think the workplace environment probably has a lot to do with it. Kraft is a pervy old man with some of the objectionable qualities that come with being a billionaire businessman, but overall he seems like a fine dude to work for. Irsay, in addition to being a pervy old man and likely possessing many of those same objectionable qualities, is a full blown drug addict. I’d second guess taking a job with that guy too if I were in his position.
I think you’re right it’d be terrible following Belichick. It’d be less terrible if you’re already an established coach on his staff, like McD.
He’s about as well known in New England as Brady and Belichick. He’s given a lot of credit for the offense, along with Brady. I think a lot of the Pats fan base would give him a bit more slack if he takes over than an outsider.
I agree they should keep both, but the chances of that are extremely small. Foles stock is super high right now I don’t see them passing up high draft picks for one of these guys. Foles earned a starting job, I don’t see him staying behind Wentz unless he’s just super comfortable in that role.
The deal is McDaniel’s lost his chance to be a head coach in this league again. Colleges might take him though.
I don’t think that’s the case. He bombed in Denver, went back NE, and got offered jobs. This too shall pass - he’ll be desirable again at some point.
Yup… The problem with Cleveland is ownership and management. Until that team moves into different hands, they will be bottom feeders. Clevelanders need to stop going to games and hurt them in the wallet. Embracing the ‘lovable losers’ motif keeps the money rolling in with a shit roster and coaching staff. Cleveland is where QB’s go to die.
Perhaps, in 5 years…
I think as long as they have the Cavs and the Indians winning, they’re fine with the Browns
