If they knew weeks ago, and still did NOT draft some type of replacement then i would assume the suspension will not be for 16. It is the Browns so who knows, but that would be too stupid of a move even for the Browns.
Like someone else mention, how fucked up is it that violence towards women, and dui’s are considered less of an offense than smoking some weed. Which 95% of the players do anyways, Gordon is just that much of a knucklehead to get caught multiple times. The rule needs to be changed. Weed is not a drug, it’s a plant that grows naturally.
I get where you are coming from regarding the use of weed. It is far less dangerous than alcohol or prescription drugs. But c’mon, hemlock is also a plant that grows naturally but if I put it in your tea you wouldn’t say it was just a plant that grows naturally.
Does putting something in tea make it not grown from the earth anymore? I dont get that comparison?
His point is that ‘grows naturally’ doesn’t = safe. Mushrooms are grown from the ground, a ton(most?) of them will kill you. Poison ivy, poison oak, hemlock, poisonous berries, there’s tons of shit that ‘grows naturally’ that will fuck you up, and not in a good way.
When was the last time someone died from weed?
I totally agree that weed is much safer than alcohol or prescription drugs. I was busting your chops for the “weed is ok cause it’s natural” remark. I think that’s the weakest argument for the legalization of weed and wish people would stop saying it since it sounds juvenile and undermines legitimate arguments in favor of.

That publicity stunt will end in training camp.

I wonder if goodell was sweating that he wouldnt be drafted…

Michael Sam is pretty small for a defensive end, I don’t see him getting drafted unless he drops weight and moves to outside LB.
At 260 lbs, he would get tooled all day by a 300+ lbs offensive tackle.
Plus he’s hella gay.
Thank God we don’t have to look any further than your home team for the homophobic slur.

That has nothing to do with what he said(as he explained). He wasn’t responding that weed should stay illegal because other plants can kill you, he was pointing out that ‘natural’ and ‘from the earth’ doesn’t instantly mean safe and human friendly.

Nope … He on the roster forever now, even if he’s terrible
If they cut him, the gay mafia will descend with cries of bigotry and homophobia … Picketing and boycotting and all manner of nonsense - even though they drafted him when no one else would

Either QB still needs a good OL.
So you want to put a friendly wager on Manziel?
Yes, I am good with that

let’s hear the bet. I’m sure we can work out an avi price
Manziel will not make it the full 16 games this year if he is a day one starter.
Dude, I have a hard time betting on health, and injuries. Just seems kinda fucked up to me. How about point blank right now, Manziel is Offensive rookie of the year next year?
Done. Agreed.

Blah blah blah. Rams haven’t done much with all those picks (yet) and in their division it still may do nothing for them. What the hell else were the Skins going to go? We could have grabbed harder at Manning (doubtful), stuck with Grossman or Beck (I wouldn’t have watched), or grabbed up Tannehill or Weeden, or another guy which may leave us in the same spot.
We made a gutsy call and right now I’m still very ok with it. I consider last year more of a fluke and a little bit of sabotage towards the end. I expect this season to be just fucking awesome and if I’m wrong then I can appreciate how maybe we paid too much.

Could have just stayed where they were and picked up Kirk Cousins. Trained him up and by this year have a healthy very good pocket passer that gives you more consistency (actually will make a 16 game season) and still a very good chance to win??

Sam is in the exact same situation as Tebow, too much media attention for what you are getting. Only difference is, the media will be much more vicious when (if)Sam gets cut.

Who would have been training him though? That’s a great plan if we had a quality veteran to train him up and it would have worked out wonderfully if Manning had come over or something. It’s not like you draft a day 1 starter in the 4th round at the QB position.
RG3’s health isn’t really that big of a concern to me. He had that knee torn up. Then last year he got benched in what was obviously some power battle. I think he’ll make it through the season just fine…

He is a mobile QB and those guys just don’t last, ala Vick, and I was talking about your QB coach and OC training him. Start him as a rookie, let him go through the growing pains learning the system and this year you have a pretty good QB and are pretty much in the exact same position, just without loosing draft picks and having a healthy QB (big maybe). I am completely against using high draft picks on running QB’s though. To much hurt.
