Yea, well I did the opposite of that (forgot about the Thursday game…)

Spiller and Bush out with serious injuries. Yikes.

Disagreed.

Okay. How so? I will say I have not had a chance to watch him much this year, but last year that was what I took away[/quote]
I’ve just been impressed with him as a passer. More than a few times, he’s stood tall and really hung in there before pulling the trigger. He ultimately made some bad decisions in Week1 and Week3 losses but he’s not looking to pull it down quickly and start running the way RGIII is.
Not at all a knock on RGIII either, certainly makes sense that his coaches are keeping things simple initially, utilizing read-option looks that he already does well with, etc.

x2 Except I didn’t have Bradshaw. I started him over Turner, whom I should have started over Shonn Greene on flex.
Greene is starting to become disappointing, like he did last season…
I proposed my friend (non TN league) a trade, tell me what you guys think about it.
My Aaron Rodgers for Matt Ryan and Hakeem Nicks… I think Ryans might be the best fantasy QB this year. Also, I have Julio Jones, so that could be nice.
Edit: Forgot to mention, GB o-line is starting to scare me too.
I don’t think he’ll take that trade, but anyways, be careful about Hakeem Nicks and his foot. Foot issues tend to linger around, although I think Nicks will be just fine since he’s got a 10 day break.
I have no running backs. My kicker tied as my high scorer this week. I am fucked. That is all.
I just got sent a fucking doozy of a trade offer. What do you guys think of this?
I get: Sam Bradford, Alfred Morris and either Jordy Nelson or Jermichael Finley
I give: Eli Manning
I already have Ponder as a backup QB and my other QB is Cam Newton. I’m pretty set at WR with Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown and Dwayne Bowe, but I’m a little thin at RB with Arian Foster followed by Darren Sproles and that Draughn guy from KC. I could use another TE since I only have Kyle Rudolph and Fred Davis at that position. I’m tempted to pull the trigger and just live with either Ponder or Bradford as my QB.

Bush knee MRI came back clean. They say he might even play this Sunday. My season would have been over I think if he was out long term. Would have been forced to play Chris Johnson every week (yikes). Though I’m still probably in trouble if Gronkowski and Colston don’t start producing numbers matching their draft positions. RGIII and Bush were the only 2 guys on my team that have done what I thought they would.

He doesn’t make good decisions if he has to make more than a couple reads, for starters. He just isn’t used to the pro-style offense yet where he has to make several reads, move safeties with his head/eyes, and his accuracy problems from college look like they’re starting to resurface a little. He’s an elite runner, but if anything that is a curse and not a tool for most QBs. Vick is a perfect example.

Is yours not a PPR league? Sproles is a pretty solid RB2 in that format. Personally I don’t think I would do it. Who knows how long it will be before Morris ends up in Shanahan’s doghouse, and I think Rudolph is going to be a solid TE option this year. I’m guessing not making the proposed trade hurts your opponent more than making it would help you. He seems very desperate for a QB. Maybe you could counter offer with something that more fits your needs.

Also, like I mentioned in one of the NFL threads before last season, I seriously doubt the leadership abilities of a guy who was kicked out of college for stealing laptops or whatever and cheating on exams. Looks like that assessment is starting to prove true. The guy needs to fucking sack up and stop acting like a petulant little child after every loss. It’s not the end of the world when you lose and maybe a little perspective in the guy’s life would ease up some of the pressure he seems to put on himself.

Yeah, I just reassessed things and I’m going to turn it down. Bradford is talented, but he’s inconsistent and plays behind a shitty O-line. I think I’m just overreacting to a horrendous game from Sproles that essentially cost me a win this week. Well, Newton didn’t help much either.
I just realized this guy also has Matt Schaub as a QB so he’s REALLY desperate right now since his bench QB is Mark Flunkez.

Shit DB he is still a young kid, what is he 23-24 years old. That takes time to develop, at that age it still is about emotion.
As far as Fantasy, he gets you passing and running TD’s with yards.
Fantasy is not running a real game, its Nerd football man.

I know he’s young, but he’s in a position of leadership. Acting like a 23/24 year-old would be a nice start, instead of acting the way i did when I was playing football in high school after a tough loss.
So I decided to sit Santonio Holmes in my big money league as well as sitting Fred Davis. I decide since it is a PPR league and I blew 40 auction bucks on Donnie Avery Id give him a shot…he is PPR gold. 2 catches…fuck you!
Santonio Holmes would have gave 28 pts
Fred Davis would have gave me 15 pts.
I end up losing 155 - 147
CJ spiller ouch.
Down 37 with with Rodgers and Lynch going tonight, Id say I have a shot but Im also going against Finley…
fack
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: don’t trust anyone whose analysis relies on TV/follow-the-football footage. In other words, there’s no substitute for coaching tape analysis.
via Greg Cosell of NFL Films, re: NO at CAR - Week2:
holy shit dude are you on Cosell’s payroll?
Cmon now Matty, it’s the only coaching tape analysis that’s even available.
