Sorry but I call horseshit, Romo had better numbers and he beat the SB champs.
Don’t be a racist DJ. Come on now. You are from Texas…
hahahahhahahahaahahahahhahhah

Really I know everyone wants to pump this kid up cause he is a rookie I get that, and he did a great job. But so did Matt Ryan and Romo.
Ya I see what you’re saying Derek. Romo went against a stronger defense as well. He just doesn’t have a R at the end of his name so he was looked over.
I also think because it was last Wed, everyone was just concentrated on the Sunday and Monday games. Just being a homer.
Yup yup. Plus, RG3 is the more popular pick.
Makes headlines for sure I know.

Any way.

What games we looking for this week?

Thursday should be okay I guess.

:)
dang right. While I would love for the Bears to win, I think the Packers will, ONLY because they lost to the 49ers and I just can’t imagine them being 0-2, lol.

Should be a hell of a game now. Watching the Bears do work on Sunday was an absolute delight. Marshall/Cutler, Forte/Bush… ahhhh
It certainly will be a tough game for GB. If their defense resembles anything like last week, they won’t be able to rest their offense. Forte/Bush combo is a harder match than Gore. Same with Cutler/Marshall. Like the past few years, Chicagos issue will be the frontline. Hopefully GB will exploit it.

I really think their defense is a lot better than people are saying right now. 49ers played great offense last week so give them some credit.

I think the defense CAN be better than what people are saying. When you look at last season, this preseason, and the 49er game, you see their big downfalls easily. Of course the biggest one is their coverage. Alex Smith tore up Jarrett Bush this week each time he threw to his side. I really dont know what the answer is for the coverage. Is it just untalented players? Coaching issues? I dont know. But one thing that has improved nicely is the frontline. Especially on pass rush. Clay Mathews and rookie Nick Perry showed their true selves this week and it was great.

Who are the middle LBs for GB?

A.J Hawk and D.J Smith. Smith has shown true promise. Hawk looked better this week but last year he was a disappointment. Many wanted him traded. If he doesnt step up this year, he will be most likely.

It was a joke.

And is Woodson lost a step?

This weeks game, CHI vs. GB is gonna say a lot about the NFC North. If we win, it shows that we are for real. If GB wins, it shows that they just had a tough matchup last week against one of the better overall teams in the NFL. Now with our improved passing attack, im curious to see how we hold up against the pass rush and if we let Jay (yes were on a first name basis) get enough time to exploit their pass D. If given that time, he definitely has the skill to exploit that. Will tim jennings play like an all star again this week? Or was that because he was playing a rookie QB who was most likely trying to force passes to stay in that game.

There is a lot riding on this game for only being week 2. Either way this one goes, it will say a lot.

BEAR DOWN!

Fred Jackson now possibly Forte ouch…luckily for me I have Spiller and Bush, 2 players I liked w/o injuries to their counterparts but now these guys could be a major force. I really wanted the jets to sign Bush this year.

Cant catch a break… Both on my team.

high ankle sprain for Forte too… never a good sign.

One of my favorite parts of our league? Matty’s waiver wire summaries:

JEW dropped Mike Williams, TB to W
JEW added Roy Helu, Wsh from W to BE

lmao I really sucked it up this week. Had no idea Antonio Gates wasn’t playing, DOH!!!

I was proposed this trade this morning:

I get - Gronk, Jonathan Dwyer, CJ Spiller (I already have Fred Jackson)

I give up - Hernandez, Green-Ellis, and Nate Washington

Notes: My other starting RB is Trent Richardson. I am somewhat weak at WR, but Washington is not a starter. This is a standard scoring league (no PPR). I also have Kevin Smith and Isaac Redman as backup RBs. The guy that proposed the trade overpaid for Gronk and Spiller and wants to clean it up. I’m not sure who else he has (other than Ray Rice and Brees) to deal.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger, but I’m not 100% sold that Gronk is going to out-perform Hernandez this year, and definitely not sure that he will outperform him by enough to make this trade worth it since I would be giving up a starting RB for what essentially amounts to a handcuff and waiver-fodder.

Any thoughts?
OK, so turning down this trade is officially the worst fantasy decision of my life.

^Jesus, no kidding lol. Spiller is going crazy and Dwyer is also doing well when he gets the ball.

Hernandez is out for 6-8 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Washington is also banged up.

Sincere apologies for my part, if any, in that.

I don’t exactly believe in jinxes but jeez…

oh man thats terrible i feel bad, but at the time i still think you made the right decision. I turned down a cj spiller for kendall wright straight up right before the season started in my keeper league, turned it down.

Both these guys are lucky we didnt take it, but good call at the time.

X 2 here

for a second there I thought Matt Ryan was gonna get me 4 more points in the 4th quarter to at least get me a tie, but nope! 1-1! that’s what happens when you don’t sub in your inactive players!!
