2010 NFL Thread

Okay, so lets say I gambled, this is how my weekend woudl have gone:

I would have bet big on Philly, and lost…

In an attempt to get my money back I would have taken the Bears, and lost more…

Broke and unable to tell my wife I just lost the mortgage payment, I would have tried to salvage my weekend with taking Miami… And lost some more.

Christ this is why I don’t gamble.

Watched that the other day for the first time in a while, a young T.O. makes a few appearances.

To all those who have doubted my game calling abilities (told you the Skins would win!!):

You must remember, football is not so much about the better team, it is about what is more ironic. The media has been sucking Mike Vick’s dick for the last 2-3 weeks with a quick aside- “Oh yea, he leads the league in getting sacked.” If you really sat down to think about it, Redskins were destined to win that game. With all the hype over how ‘hi-flying’ the Eagles were and how lowly the Skins are, the only logical choice would be that the Eagles lose. Not to mention that the Redskins have been hurting every teams’ star player (see Michael Vick- broken body, Andre Johnson- messed up ankle, etc)

REDSKINS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!! HAHAHAH

(ps, I have enjoyed typing this because that gif with the boobie girl is within view)
This is similar to what happened in the Steelers/Ravens game. The Steelers almost always lose when they are #1 on everyone’s power rankings.

How badly do you think Ben Roethlisberger wants to force Roger Goodell to stand on a podium with him at the end of the season, smile, and hand him a big, shiny trophy?

Welcome back, 7.
Pittburgh needs to be behind the eightball to get the best out of them for sure. If Ben comes out of the blocks hot, he had his best camp ever apparently, look out AFC. I have no doubt that if they had Ben behind centre last Sunday the ravens would have been dead meat.

Ben on the podium at the end of the year, it would definetly be the ultimate fuck you to Godell lol.

I missed all the late afternoon and MNF games going up north fishing. No internet up there so I had no football fix for two days…it was awfull lol.

The last play I saw was Vick getting destroyed between two defenders. Is he seriously hurt?

I’ve got nothing of significance to add. Just dropping by to see how the fellas were?

With a picture like that drop by anytime.

NE has Oakland’s 1st round draft pick next year? Thats what Jaws said during the NE game. How the hell they manage that and what did Oakland get out of it?

The Richard Seymour trade

Looks like Moss is going to Sota…

wut?

Edit: Oh. Espn reporting trade talks.

The pats run their franchise like I used to run my madden franchises. Draft picks draft picks draft picks.

And they draft pretty well.

That offense isn’t the same without Moss drawing double teams all day long…

It isn’t going to be a good move.

then just turn the difficulty down!

Wow, I know I’m late, but to whoever saw the Bears-Giants game: I apologize. That was some of the worst Bears football I’ve seen. That was not professional football. The sad thing is the Giants did only slightly better.

I think this would be a great move if Minnesota can pull it off. I just wonder who’s going to stretch the field for the Patriots. Maybe Brady will just dink and dunk you to death with the 10 million Wes Welker clones they seem to find.

The Vikes should trade Rice to the Pats for Moss. I think that would be a win-win for both sides.

Terrible…fucking…idea.

Rice is like a young Brandon Marshall. Strong, tall and high jumping receiver who can out body any or most DB’s. He’s the future for the Vikings and he’s proven his worth.

Moss is an aging phenom who doesn’t run block and is only good on deep balls.

If Vikings traded Rice, they would be fools.

Mon. nights game just got a lot more interesting! Hopefully Revis is fully recovered. The electricity in that place w/both Favre & Moss in town should make for a great game.

Wolly, Rice isn’t going to be traded. Heard it this morning. They’re hoping to team Rice & Moss in the next few weeks.

I did hear their is slight chance that Jackson goes to NE.

This is a great deal for the Pats…they have a ton of picks now, and I believe they thought they were gonna lose Moss anyway, so why not get something for him. I also believe Bellicheck realizes that they are not a superbowl contender this year and is beginning to re-tool and at the same time still be competitive.

Shit who knows…maybe the pats will package a lot of those picks and get V-jax

Was listening to Peter King this morning on serius, discussing the fact that the Pats think they are a year a way with there defense. So the Pats are just stockpiling and see what happens.

^The crazy thing is, the Pats have just as much chance as anyone. They aren’t that bad. When you throw Brady in the mix, you’ll always have a shot. Their isn’t a team in the league this yr that can’t be beat. I don’t think they trade one malcontent for another, re:Jackson.

The way the chips are falling, if the Jets play their cards right they have a legit shot. Home field advantage would be huge for a young Sanchez.

Now all we need is Pace and Revis at full strength. Hopefully Holmes is good shape. Nice set of receivers between he, Edwards, & Keller.

^ I think that is why he is taking the chance. They have won this year without Moss, and he is a headache at this point. Why pay him the big bucks if you have a legit chance to win the whole thing without him. And like Matty said do it now while he has value, the Vikes need a W.O.

Here is one for you Moss goes to the Vikings and we have a Vikings vs Pats SB. (I would fucking shoot myself because I would hate this match up)
