2010 NFL Thread

I dont think anyone should be a fan of the Bills. And definitely not the Browns. I forget the Brown exist half the time haha.

They’d probably beat the Skins though :frowning:

DeAngelo Hall was at a nearby bar the other day. I should have gone to yell at him about running his mouth and how he would cover #1 receivers only to get burned all day by Rams WRs…

Dallas Cowboys- Superbowl Champions!

It’s funny cuz it’s not possible!
haha, I feels better now.

FTR, I don’t dislike the Cowboys, it’s the coverage they get that gets on my nerves but truthfully if I was running that leauge and the NFL network I would do the same thing.

This is so true…with all sports really in the states…they will always cater to the casual fan, as so many of these casual fans are the ones who can afford the luxury boxes and have money to burn. The casual fan are the ones are the ones that will follow the yankees, Cowboys, Heat,Lakers and Pats etc because that is what is popular.

The NFL knows it can make so much more money by entertaining the unknowledgable fan by making it much more entertaining to watch superficially.

Oh and im not saying all Cowboy fans are casual fans Im just saying the casual fan will be a fan of the most popular teams…A casual fan is not gonna be a fan of the bills.
They do it for the money under the guise of caring about player safety. If they really cared about player safety, they’d have everyone wearing the new helmets that reduce concussions, custom-fitted mouthpieces, and properly snugged chinstraps. These 3 things will do more to reduce brain injuries than any of the pussy rules eliminating hard play will ever do.

X 1000. They still give the players a choice to wear the new helmets and chin straps etc. That is what pisses me off also. Again casual fans do not know this and dont care. Only the hard core passionate.

You guys are spot on, if the NFL cared about player safety they would do what you guys mentioned as well as helping these ex-players espescially d-lineman who are dropping like flies after the NFL used and abused their bodies

I can predict this, whenever players are held out for concussions and it ends up costing games. Example Brady, Manning or Romo the owners will push for rules like this. What happens if the colts win the AFC championship game but Manning gets a concussion and is held out of the SB because of it, I can guran fucking tee that by next season new helmets are mandatory.

Peyton Manning already wears the new helmet. You can tell by the small ridge on the crown with the ventilation holes and the extra jaw protection. I bought one my junior year of college because I kept getting concussions. They work.

I know cause he is a smart MF, just using him as an example. It will take some media darling or lets say Revis for the Jets.

I’m giving up on my 49ers for this year, we need a new OC and a new QB. At least by getting destroyed today we increase our changes of getting Luck or Mallet in the draft!

I am now officially adopting a team to root for for the rest of the season, suggestions?
E-A-G-L-E-S!

Vick tore it up today :)
picked him up in my fantasy league.

Predictions on Skins vs Eagles game? Me personally, I think vick is gonna go in.

It’s gonna be a high scoring game, and Eagles take it.

Skins can’t even figure out their running game right now. I am hoping that gets straightened out as the Eagles have had trouble covering the run. Right now our defense is somewhat suspect so that will not be good defending against Maclin and Jackson. Luckily, I don’t think the Eagles really have a run game either so it will be mostly covering the air or trying to take Vick out. haha

As much as I hate to say it, I think the Eagles take it. But I’d like to say McNabb is going to bring it big time!

I just hope they both lose. Or tie. McNabb is famous for that anyway.

Ha well played.

The Eagles will dismantle the 'Skins pretty easily. Vick is on a roll, has vastly improved as a QB (not a pure scrambler anymore), and has an arsenal of weapons around him.

I think the Eagles are better than the 'Skins in every facet of the game, thus I don’t really expect this to be a close one.

Did I mention that the 'Skins lost to the Rams last week? Enough said.

Very true.

Die the both of you!

I think it will be closer than you think. We typically play well against division opponents.

I’m really excited to watch Vick vs the Skins front guys. They have a really talented defense (when they pull their heads out of their asses) so it should be fun to watch a game Vick vs that D.

:open_mouth:

Screw you and your cowgirls, the foreskins got no chance! lol =]

Thoughts on the Jets picking up Trevor Pryce? Apparently the Ravens were planning on bringing him right back in after they cut him, and there is some sort of unspoken rule that other teams won’t pick up guys like that, but the Jets picked him up anyway.

Good for the Jets. If a player gives you a better chance to win, pick him up, screw the unspoken rule, this isn’t fencing or polo. Pryce is a Rex guy also, so it should be interesting to see how he performs, maybe he’ll take it to a whole new level.

He’s 35 years old, the only other level is wheelchair. No he will be a situational guy who will hopefully give them a few 3rd and short run stops. Listening to talk radio he was pumped when his agent called and said Rex wanted him in New York.
