Trade offer cancelled.

The other two receivers he has are Mushin Muhammad and Steve Smith.

I’ll give it a shot!

Be careful what you give up D wise. I am not in any leagues with IDP’s but this seems to be your strong point. You will have to evaluate the drop in D versus the other teams to the increase in QB points versus the other teams. Make your decision based on that.

I might trade a defensive player and Vick/Westbrook for a better QB/RB. My defense is ridiculous with probably 3 or 4 of the top 10 players. Any thoughts?

My main concern with Westbrook is just his durability. He racks up a lot of points when he’s playing. I’m probably not going to make any trades at this point. I’ll keep an eye on McNair and Aaron Brooks in the beginning of the season since they’re still available. However, Vick could be okay. With my scoring format last year he was the 9th ranked QB at the end of the season, and 4 of the QBs above him were barely even ahead by anything.

Steve questionable on injury report, as is Holt, wtf!!

Ihave to set my line up tomorrow hour before first game.

In that case I would hold tight. If you have room, I would stash McNair on your bench, he could be a nice start depending on match up.

Yeah, I just read that about Steve Smith. It seems he injured his other hamstring yesterday. WTF is going on?

I didn’t read that about Holt. That’s just fukin’ great. Where did you read that?

I just read that Linehan said that Holt and Bruce were back to 100%. I’m confused.

I am sure both will play but I would like to see the injury reports get updated before I set my line up.

Does anybody see me losing my league with this team? I don’t think its possible, I have too much depth. I had first pick… I took LJ obviously, then with the 20th and 21st pick I took Harrison & Moss, I couldn’t believe they were still there… especially in a winners league.

OK… here’s my team
10 team league

QB- Kurt Warner
back ups… Drew Bledsoe, Mark Brunell

WR1- Randy Moss
WR2- Marvin Harrison
WR3- Javon Walker
back up… Donald Driver

RB1- Larry Johnson
RB2- Mike Bell
back ups… Corey Dillon, Jamal Lewis

Te- Kellen Winslow
back up… Vernon Davis

K- David Akers

DEF- Washington Redskins

It will be tough to pick your best QB from week to week, but your team looks pretty good. I’m not sure about Bell as a starter since he’ll split carries with Tatum. With Maroney likely out for week 1, Dillon should be a solid play. I also think Driver will do better than Walker… but that’s just my opinion.

Yeah… I’ll have to see how well they all do for awhile. i might have to Bench moss and start the other 3 or Bench Walker. Yep, I have Dillon in for Week 1, he tears up buf. i’ll round robin those backs along with the 3 Qbs. This is the set up I like. a strong WR core, rotating Qb’s, 1 elite back and then a rotating 2nd RB.

It’s tough to make the calls sometimes… but I look at the match ups closely and judge from there.

Alot of people dont run rotations, you can squeeze alot of extra points out that way if you can make the right starts/benches.

I could never figure out the WR’s , so I just decided to draft the best ones quick and just leave them in there. Who ever doesn’t produce will be riding the bench in my WR core. I’ll bench anyone of them, they’re all tops in my mind.

All #1 WR’s and pretty much Top 5 except for Driver. Walker was even top 5 before he got injured last year. Most likey Walker or Driver will be riding the bench.

I like the team alot, its going to be fun for me with this much depth. I’ll have fun this year making the right RB and QB calls for gameday.

I need some opinions. I have followed this thread and played FF for 3 years now. I won my league last year and came up with the 1st overall pick this year. I play in a non-keeper, performance league of 10 teams.

RB - LT,Gore,Williams,Barber,Anderson,Turner
WR - TO,Chambers,T.J.,Mason
QB - Culpepper,Kitna,Young
TE - Daniels (TX - I know, I know)
K - Akers
DEF - Indy,Cinn

I know my TE position is super weak, but I missed on Clark going in the 10th and there were just no more decent TE’s left. I feel as though I drafted great and that I will make the playoffs for sure on the backs of LT and Williams/Barber, Gore could suprise also.

What do you think and how could I address any changes that need to be made.

P.S. I am totally willing to trade T.O. but I cannot get any takers. I offered a weak WR team T.O. for L.J. Smith and Stallworth and was refused. I thought it was a fair deal though. I know I will hear how Stallworth is a “drag racer” and he immediately becomes the number one option there, but T.O. can flat out ball and the guy has Gates as his starting TE.

Tell me what you think.

By “Williams” do you mean Cadillac? If so, damn… good team as long as Culpepper bounces back well. As for that trade, the guy probably just doesn’t trust TO or something.

You have a pretty solid team. You are weak at QB but if the Cowboys can protect Bledsoe he could put up big numbers. And if Warner can stay healthy behind that bad O-Line he also could have a big year throwing to those two studs.

RB is also weak outside of LJ. Shanahan will probably never decide on a clear cut starter and I don’t see Jamal Lewis returning to his pre-prison form. Hopefully Corey Dillon can hold off Maroney. I would definitely start him this week.

Your WRs are the strength of your team for sure. This week I would definitely start the three you have listed and bench Driver. He’s playing against the tough Bears D and they’ll more than likely shut him down. Walker is playing agains the soft St. Louis secondary.

Good luck!

Wow, how did you pull of that draft? 10 teams and you land LT and Cadillac? Amazing. T.O. AND Chambers? I want to be in your league man. You have a stacked team. Yeah, your TE is weak but other than Gates you really can’t count on a TE for production every week. It’s just a streaky position.

Do not trade T.O.! And especially not for a TE! What is wrong with you? You have arguably the best receiver in the league and you want to trade him for a TE and unproven receiver on a new team? If I were that guy I would have pulled the trigger on that trade in a hearbeat! If you really want to trade T.O. you need to get a top WR or top RB for him. He has the ability to post huge numbers again this year. Seriously, you should be slapped for suggesting that trade. And your friend should be slapped TWICE for not taking it!

And Barber, is that Tiki or Marion? I’m assuming Marion. Because if you got Tiki too that would just be too crazy.

Good luck this year man.

Still conflicted…

Pepp against Pitt or Bledsoe against Jax. I am already starting Chambers in that league and dont want to take a chance on a double bust.

Dunn against Tampe, Droughns against NO or T. Jones against GB. I am split between Droughns and Jones. It is more TD heavy than yardage.

A

Alright, WTF is going on. I have two freakin’ players on my Yahoo team that either aren’t playing or are questionable. D.(hold out) Branch isn’t going to play. And now D. Givens hurt his hamstring. Not to mention that Steve Smith is questionable with a bad hamstring. I have him in my other league. I’m having major WR problems this first week. Not good.

So, on my yahoo league, who do I start as my 3rd WR? I have Isaac Bruce and i’m not starting him. My trade for Steve Smith was rejected. The only player I would be interested in pickup up off the waiver wire would be Greg Jennings. So, do I drop one of my RBs and pick him up? If anyone I would drop Duckett since he’s now 3rd on the roster in Washington.

And do I start Steve Smith? I think I have to. I’m pretty sure he’ll play.

Anyone got any advice?

I’m thinking of changing one of my starting receivers this week. Right now I’ve got Chambers, Burress, and Driver (against CHI’s good corners) in there… but I also have Terry Glenn. I’m leaning toward using Glenn (against JAC). Who would you use?

I hear ya on the double bust thing. And Pitt has a strong defense. I also just read that Pitt was ranked 2nd in the league last year defending against the opposing team’s No. 1 receiver. That might hurt Chambers too. But Jax has a strong defense. Damn, that’s a tough one. I would have to go with Bledsoe. Just because Culpepper is still too much of an unknown at this point. New team, new knee, first game back and against one of the best D’s in the league.

I would go Droughns on this one. I understand that they are the Browns but they are playing the Saints. The Saints run D is terrible. I mean the Packers put up 52 points on them last year for gosh sakes! Go with Droughns. Dunn is playing against a strong Tampa D. Jones is playing in a big rivalry game and on the road in Lambeau. The Packers run Def. has actually looked pretty good this preseason and they could potentially shut him down.

If you change any of them make it Chambers. Like I said earlier, they are playing a good Stillers D, Culpepper’s first full game back, to many unknowns. But at the sametime Glenn is playing against a great Jax D. It’s a crapshoot either way.
