So just had the phone consult with the doctor and I have been increased to roughly 80mg a week from 50. I was thinking 1 of 2 ways to do it.
Increase to 62.5 mg every 3.5 day or
2 62.5 every 3 days, would this keep my e2 similar as to what it is now with the more frequent shots?
Also I want to change needles as I’m getting a little wastage and going through the T quickly I pay 80 bucks for 3 ml. Could I still go in the quads with a 29 1/2 neddle?
Depends on how lean you are. If you can get the needle at least 1/4-1/2” into the muscle it would be ideal. I wish someone made 1” no waste syringes, but I have yet to find anything like that.
I’m trying to understand. So you were on 50mg/week and the doc increased to 80mg/week. So 62.5mg twice a week is obviously more than 80. Are you adding extra T on the side?
Anyways, E2 number is not the difference in more frequent injections it’s the peaks & valleys of the levels that are effected. More of a straight line than waves can make TRT easier to deal with for some folks.
Probably, that’s what I’m doing. But I don’t carry a lot of fat there, it’s all in the keg for me. I would go to twice a week first. E2 will be what it is, it will drop over time and the bloat goes away anyway after a few weeks to a few months - depending on the individual.
You still completely caffeine-free, brother? I don’t consume much of it but am considering the same route. Do you use any drinks as substitutes for caffeine (e.g., herbal tea) or other energy supplements (e.g., Rhodiola)?
I did relapse a few months ago and have quit again since. It wasn’t worth it. Stress went up, and I started getting chronic jaw pain and tension headaches. But man, getting up in the morning can be rough if you’re a night owl like me, and when I have to get out of my routine for work of family stuff is when I get tempted to get a fix.
Have to fight through the hump, maybe try green tea over coffee to taper. I am actually on my 4th day of no stimulants other than 1 cup of green tea, maybe a second or a can of coke if things go really bad. Last 2 days though only one cup of green tea and that’s it.
Already feeling better. Especially after that initial hump the first 2 days. Sleep, blood pressure, anxiety are all better.
I’ve gotten into Teecino herbal tea to help with coffee cravings. I like the chocolate mint. I have this first thing in the AM (as you shouldn’t have caffeine until 90-120 minutes after waking). Then I’ll have 1 cup of caffeinated coffee as a preworkout. But I’m going to switch that to decaf and probably go off decaf eventually. Stan Efferding isn’t a fan of coffee because of what it does to your gut.
Everyone talks about all the pros of caffeine. Fair enough. But I’d argue there are just as many (if not more) cons. Especially with the chronic stress of modern lifestyles.
I was tempted to do the same thing yesterday. Unusually late night. But I resisted. The feeling of conquering the temptation is dopaminergic unto itself It’s like when your body tells you there’s nothing left in the tank, but you grind out another rep anyway.
Matt Walker talks about this. They think they sleep fine but actually don’t. So it seems like a blessing but is actually a curse. If you drink coffee and can’t sleep, you know not to drink it before bed. But if you drink coffee and can sleep, you remain ignorant to how poorly you are sleeping.
